Appointment

Have you ever been terribly late for an appointment? Have you missed an appointment? Has somebody else let you down and forgot your appointment? A missed appointment means, nothing happens – nothing moves forward. When you are there for your appointment, things start happening. Things move forward.

If we want things happening in our lives, we need a daily appointment with God: confidential, private. Close the door. Be totally honest, spill the beans and listen to His instructions.

These times with God – prayerfully around His Word – sows into our lives, and the seed that falls onto the good soil will bear fruit, a thirty, forty and a hundredfold. All we need is a time, a place, a Bible and a heart hungry to meet with God.

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. – Mark 1:35

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:6

How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! – Psalm 119:103
